It features the Hillside Kirk and Manse in Baltasound during the 1950s when it was well attended, by UF denomination churchgoers The church is now in ruins, and, more recently, the manse has been losing its roof too.
Jim Tait was born at Baltasound, Unst in 1948. He specialises in the seascapes and landscapes of his native Shetland Islands. He is particularly interested in the way light works on the sea and land to create distance
