Description
Acrylic seascape in a contemporary semi-abstract style giving an impression of seascapes that have become familiar to me in Shetland. A dramatic sea at the darkening of the day, with sheer cliffs in the distance. The 50 x 40cm painting has been finished with a modern light wood floating frame.
My name is Anne Barron and I have worked for 30 years as a professional artist mainly working to portrait commissions of people and animals, and have lived in Shetland since 2007 where I now have a small studio in my garden just above Minn beach in Burra. Shetland has had a big influence on me and my work and in particular the colours I choose when I start to paint. I have also been involved over the years in hosting fundraising exhibitions to raise awareness of wildlife charities, and this has earned me a place as. Signature Member of the Artists for Conservation Website with many of the top wildlife artists worldwide. I am also a Professional Associate of the Society For All Artists, and enjoy teaching and encouraging artists at Beginner & Intermediate levels. I belong to a group of artists called Shetland Fine Arts.
