Description
Giclee fine art print, available in A4 and A3 sizes, produced on high quality art paper.
It features Jim Tait’s painting of the “Earl of Zetland”, built in 1938 for use on the Shetland Lerwick/north isles route.. After doing admiralty duty during WW2, she returned to the route on which she served until being replaced by the new ro-ro ferries in the mid 1970s. After this she was sold, and was used as a survey vessel for some years before being tied up at South Shields and converted into a floating restaurant. It was recently announced that she is to be scrapped, after 82 years afloat.
